Lightfoot & Wolfville Icewine

Nova Scotia’s cool climate growing environment provides the ideal conditions for the production of complex icewines with tremendous balance and agreeability, due to their naturally elevated acidities.

The 2021 Terroir Series Riesling Icewine is our inaugural icewine release from the Riesling grape; frozen naturally on the vine and hand-harvested from the Lightfoot Home Farm Vineyard on December 10th, when temperatures dipped below -8°C.

Pressed in a traditional Marzola basket press to extract a luscious and ultra concentrated juice. Fermentation was long and cool in stainless steel.
